The three time national award winner Saroj Khan , an eminent choreographer and a seraphic artist passes away at the age of 71. Sources say she died of cardiac arrest.
Her story from playing the role of young Shyama onscreen in Nazarana to being noticed after she choreographed “Hawa Hawai” , is admirable.
With a career span of over forty years, she choreographed more than 2000 songs and is known as “The Mother of Dance/Choreography in India”.
Losing one more gem, the industry surely is at a big loss. She was a Guru , a guardian and most importantly a beautiful human being.
